We all waiting for it, to be honest, I think will take ages for new add-on developers to line with the product.2.3 will just mean more work. 2.2 is pretty much perfect for my needs. I know I'll probably see one aspect of 2.3 that I think I need and I'll start the round of upgrades, waiting for themes and addons. I can guarantee 2.3 will cost me money, and the time spent messing with it could earn me much more if I spent it generating good content instead.

I've not seen any breaking changes posted by XF developers yet (they are really good about letting developers know about those ahead of time), and if there are any, those would be resolved during the Alpha, Beta, RC release cycle, so I highly doubt that it will take me more than a day to push out AMS 2.3.0 Stable after XF 2.3.0 is declared stable. The main twisting point for me will be compatibility with AMS.
Thanks for the update Bob, above and beyond as ever!I've not seen any breaking changes posted by XF developers yet (they are really good about letting developers know about those ahead of time), and if there are any, those would be resolved during the Alpha, Beta, RC release cycle, so I highly doubt that it will take me more than a day to push out AMS 2.3.0 Stable after XF 2.3.0 is declared stable.
You're right...I’m just hoping that those suggestions with a lot of likes and votes actually get implemented finally. There’s some great suggestions that have had a lot of attention from users but have not been implemented.
I don’t really know what I’m expecting but I feel it won’t magically change the graft we, as forum owners, go through to generate users and activity. I feel most of those users who are eager for a release are expecting miracles with putting little effort into it themselves.
I bow to you.This isn’t sufficient ? [OzzModz/Banxix] Bump Thread
Agreed, my days or rushing to upgrade to the latest and greatest are over. Give it time for everyone to test it out, push the add-ons to the new version, fix any bugs, etc. THEN get going on the new version and any new toysA new version usually means add-ons stop working and you have to wait for a developer to make them work with the next version. Sometimes it takes them a while so I am never in a hurry to make the leap.
Usually the "new toys" are very underwhelming too.THEN get going on the new version and any new toys![]()
Very true! A couple of neat features here and there, that are fun for a time or two, and then it's back to business as usual ignoring themUsually the "new toys" are very underwhelming too.![]()
